Welcome to the position of Department Chief Physician at HUS Diagnostic Center!

HUS Diagnostic Center is Finland's leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our main area of activity is the HUS Group's specialized care and the basic health care of the wellbeing regions belonging to HUS. We also respond to the laboratory and imaging operations of the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia wellbeing regions.

We operate in eight medical specialties. We are nationally responsible for several highly specialized studies and for research and teaching belonging to the university hospital. Diagnostic studies play a central role in confirming, ruling out diseases, as part of treatment, and in monitoring and screening. About 3,400 laboratory and imaging specialists work at HUS Diagnostic Center across more than 150 sites.

We are now looking for two (2) Department Chief Physicians for the Diagnostic Center, for Central Uusimaa radiology and for South Karelia radiology.

To be selected for the Department Chief Physician position, a radiology specialist degree is required. The relevant specialty for the position is radiology.

In the role, the Department Chief Physician mainly participates in clinical patient work, and supports the unit's chief physician in administrative tasks, implementation of specialty continuing education, and the medical development of the department.
