Child Welfare Officer - come work for the best of children and families in Kainuu! Are you looking for a meaningful and varied social work specialist role where you can promote children's interests and support families in life-changing situations?We are looking for a Child Welfare Officer for the Kainuu Wellbeing Region's Perheneuvola and family law services unit. The position is located in Kajaani.
As a Child Welfare Officer you will work as part of a professional family law services team. There are three Child Welfare Officers in Kajaani and one in Sotkamo. Your work focuses on the Kajaani area, but clients are served throughout Kainuu. Some official tasks can be performed remotely.
As a Child Welfare Officer:
- you prepare and confirm agreements concerning child care, housing, visitation rights and maintenance, and assess their legality and the realization of the child's best interests
- you handle contractual matters concerning supported and supervised meetings of the child and parent
- you handle tasks related to determining and recognizing parenthood in accordance with the Parenthood Act
- you provide guidance, advice and service guidance on parents' separation and family law matters
- together with other Child Welfare Officers and, if necessary, Perheneuvola social workers, you prepare court case studies on child care, housing and visitation rights
- you participate in network cooperation and service development.
